چکیده
This is the second part of a two-part chapter that describes and analyzes a program of research (PR) in international IT studies that began in the fall of 1992. The first part spans the years 1992 through 2000 and discusses the concept of a PR, the inception of our PR, and its maturation in terms of theory and methodology, research team dynamics, and program implementation. Part II focuses on the time frame of 2000 to 2004. The work undertaken during this second period is distinctive in two areas: the examination in detail of the full range of all constructs in the final research model; and grantsmanship, which was essential to the life of the PR. Specifically, a multi-year NSF grant funded the core of in-depth work undertaken IGI PUBLISHING This paper appears in the publication, Strategic Use of Information Technology for Global Organizations edited by M. متن کاملA New Module System for Prolog
It is now widely accepted that separating programs into modules is useful in program development and maintenance. While many Prolog implementations include useful module systems, we argüe that these systems can be improved in a number of ways, such as, for example, being more amenable to effective global analysis and transformation and allowing sepárate compilation or sensible creation of stand...
متن کاملJAAT: Java Alias Analysis Tool for Maintenance Activities
Alias analysis is a method for extracting sets of expressions which may possibly refer to the same memory locations during program execution. Although many researchers have already proposed analysis methods for the purpose of program optimization, difficulties still remain in applying such methods to practical software engineering tools in the sense of precision, extensibility and scalability. ...
